Loose and Lost

You’re so far far away

Like a thought I forgot to pen down

A thought that’s sunk so deep in the bedlam of reminisces

That I fear I may have lost it forever

That I fear I may have lost you forever

I don’t want to love you this way

In loose adjectives

Yoked in narcissism,

Wrought in the architecture of perfectly spelt

well rounded

But meaningless sentences

I want to feel you

Have your hands skim my waist

Scoop me out

Devour me

Before I melt completely

I want you to think of me

Deeply

And desperately

Wondering

Whose face I conjure

Before I drift into dreams.

How I wake up to mornings

Surrogated with guilt:

Guilt, born out of forbidden sounds

and fingers that raked my skin

So it bore fingerprints

That weren’t yours
